Why Most LinkedIn Drafts Never Get Published
The biggest enemy of LinkedIn consistency isn't lack of ideas — it's the gap between what you want to say and knowing how to say it well. Most drafts die in a notes app because the writer can't tell if they're good enough.
The four elements that make any post work
Structure — A well-structured LinkedIn post flows naturally from tension to insight to takeaway. Readers should never have to wonder where the post is going. Loose structure is the most common issue in first drafts.
Hook — You have one line to earn the "see more" click. The best hooks create a pattern interrupt: they challenge a belief, reveal a surprising outcome, or open a loop the reader must close.
Body — The body must deliver on the hook's promise. Short sentences, concrete specifics, and white space make the body scannable. Vague generalities kill engagement.
CTA — Weak posts end with "What do you think?". Strong posts end with a question so specific that readers feel compelled to answer, or a statement so complete that no question is needed.
